I feel like so many of us at some point of our life will deal with water retention but no one really talks about it. so I am happy finally we have a little homemade remedy !
In a 100 ml glass bottle, pour about 50 ml of grapeseed oil, which is your carrier oil. It has a fine texture, no strong smell, it penetrates fast, it is high in Vitamin E and other antioxidants such as polyphenols.
Then, add the following:
Pink grapefruit essential oil:
-Stimulates lymphatic system and elimination of excess fluids
Rosemary essential oil:
-Stimulates blood flow and elimination
-Boosts immune system
Cypress essential oil:
-Superstar when it comes to have a drying effect on body fluids
-Assists kidney function
-Diuretic and helps getting rid of unwanted toxins
Shake the bottle well, pour some of the mix in your palms, rub them together and then massage your legs, from the ankles up. Then, massage your whole body if possible. Insist around the groin, under the arms and neck areas (lymph nodes). Massaging after a cool shower will stimulate the circulation even more.
You can do it morning and evening if possible, but at least once a day.
It will boost the lymphatic system and assist the body into removing toxins and excess fluids.
Recommendations and safety tips:
Always buy your carrier oils cold pressed and certified organic if possible. Buy certified organic essential oils if possible too. Or make sure they are pure and ethically manufactured.
Always make a patch test
Avoid sun exposure after applying the recipe
Don’t use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding but rather stick to a virgin oil.
