Are you a Massage Therapist? I teach an online class at Aromahead Institute called “Aromatherapy for Massage Therapists.”
Feeling tired and achy? This Aromatherapy body oil recipe will help you feel energized and vibrant!
It’s made in a base of Trauma Oil—a skin nourishing, pain reducing oil made by infusing three herbs (arnica, calendula, and St. John’s wort) in a base of carrier oil. Usually that’s olive oil. All of the flowers in Trauma Oil help to reduce inflammation and pain, and the calendula is especially good for nourishing skin.
I’m using 1 oz (30 ml) of Trauma Oil in a cobalt blue glass bottle. (0:52)
Trauma Oil is great for soothing aches and pains all by itself, and I’m adding four essential oils to enhance the relief of this body oil recipe.
8 drops Black Spruce essential oil (Picea mariana) (1:26)
5 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) (2:00)
3 drops Peppermint essential oil (Mentha x piperita) (2:34)
2 drops Lemon essential oil (Citrus limon) (3:05)
It always impresses me how concentrated every drop of essential oil is. I never feel the need to use a lot! A few drops go a long way (especially in the case of Peppermint and Lemon)!
Close your bottle, shake your blend gently (3:37), and use your Aromatherapy body oil anywhere you feel achy, tired, and sore. It’s great for that “crick” in your neck, or for shoulders that get sore after sitting at your desk all day. I bet you’ll feel more energized and uplifted in no time!
