You know those parents who research parenting to death and agonize over their every parenting decision? That’s me! There is not a parenting style, sleep approach, pediatric health topic, and so on that I can ignore! If I hear about it, I have to read about it. In the last few years I have used so much precious sleep time figuring out what I am doing wrong or what I could do better as a parent.

My name is Kathy; I am married with two daughters, a two year old and a recent addition. And, don’t worry; I don’t let my obsessive personality affect my kids. “No Big Deal, Mom!” is what my 2-year-old daughter says to me- for reassurance that it is in fact no big deal- when she makes a mess or has an accident. I am trying to follow my kid’s leads and take a “No Big Deal, Mom!” approach to parenting. They already know how to be happy!

I cannot stop researching; I love to learn! What I can do is not live my life based on what words in a book or on a screen tell me what is normal. And, I can use this varied knowledge I have gained to share with you to maybe make your life a little easier. See some of my recommendations here and get them for your family:

Recipe Round-Up
Personally, I would love to be able to go to markets, let ingredients speak to me, and throw together a beautiful meal for my family. But, that is not my reality right now. I am often faced with 5:30pm, or later, and the need to get dinner on the table quickly. My solution is to plan the weekly meals on the weekend. Then, I can go to the store armed with a list of ingredients, confident that I will be able to provide a healthy, home-cooked meal for my family.

Every week, my goal is to cook at least 5 dinners, and 1 grab and go breakfast item. This page compiles some of our family’s go-to fast nutritious recipes courtesy of my favorite blogs.
