Hair Growth Recipes with Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Jamaican black castor oil is considered to be one of the most effective oils for hair growth because of its powerful antioxidants and nourishing nutrients that feed hair follicles and foster growth of new hairs.
In addition to that, Jamaican black castor oil also has strong antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties.
Let’s see how to use it for hair growth.
1. Nourishing Hair Mask
This mask is good for dry and lifeless thinning hair, because of its great nourishment and moisturization.
Melt ¼ cup of Shea butter and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a double boiler. Then let it cool off and partially solidify.
Now, whip it into a fluffy cream using a hand mixer, and transfer the mixture to a storage container.
Apply it onto your scalp for 1-2 hours, then wash off. Use it once a week.
2. Hair Growth Gel
This gel is useful for itchy scalp, scalp inflammation and dandruff.
Along with its cooling and soothing properties, it also simulates hair growth.
Take a small storage container, and mix up the following ingredients in it:
4 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel,
1 teaspoon of Jamaican black castor oil,
8 drops of lavender essential oil.
Massage the gel onto your clean scalp, and leave it for some time, then wash off.
3. Scalp Stimulating Massage
This massage can be helpful in alopecia and bald spots.
Take a 2 oz amber glass dropper bottle, and pour the following ingredients into it:
2 teaspoons of Jamaican black castor oil,
1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil,
1 tablespoon of jojoba oil.
Then add these essential oils, drop by drop:
3 drops of rosemary essential oil,
3 drops of peppermint essential oil,
3 drops of geranium essential oil.
Now cap the bottle and shake well to combine everything.
To use, place a few drops on your scalp, and vigorously massage the scalp with your fingers.
You shouldn’t be harsh while massaging; apply the force gently to stimulate blood flow.
