Lemon essential oil has been historically recognized as a cleanser (astringent) and antiseptic, with refreshing and cooling properties. One drop of Lemon essential oil can kill Diphtheria bacteria in 20 minutes. It has also been effective against infectious diseases like typhoid, tuberculosis, and malaria and sexually transmitted diseases like syphilis and gonorrhea.
