In this video, Rebecca tells you how to make a body lotion with essential oils at home. Follow this simple recipe as a guideline for preparing your own body lotion products. You can formulate your own essential oil blend that will deliver the healing benefits or fragrance you are seeking.
This recipe is based on blending by notes technique, but you can easily use another method such as blending by chemistry or blending by botany simply by changing the formula to match your needs. For instance, if you wanted to make a massage blend using the blending by chemistry method, you would still add the same total of essential oil drops listed in the recipe below (maximum of 30 total), but instead of 3 drops of base note oil, you will use 3 drops of sesquiterpenes (based on 10%), 3 drops of monoterpenes (based on 40%) and 15 drops of phenols and ketones (based on 50%). Of course, there is plenty of room for creativity as there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to creating your individual blend. You can add more or less. Feel free to change these to suit your own personal taste!
