How to Make Padsicles

What’s a Padsicle?

A padsicle is a regular pad that has been pretreated with the following ingredients. It’s to be applied to Mom’s peri area in the first few day’s after birth to help with swelling and discomfort. These are not absorbent so you will need to wear them with another overnight pad or a pair of depends may work even better. You will only needs these for a few days, I recommend making about 10-15.

Supplies :
Overnight pads :
Witch Hazel :
Aloe Vera [fragrance and alcohol free] :

Lavender Essential oil – I use Young Living
Ziplock Bags for storage.
Depends :

INSTRUCTIONS ⤵️
First, open the pad carefully keeping the wrapper intact, then saturate the pad with Witch Hazel.
Next, apply a generous amount of Aloe Vera ( 2 tbsp-ish ), Make sure to get FRAGRANCE FREE & ALCOHOL FREE ( it will burn if you get the wrong kind and no one wants that ). After that apply a QUALITY lavender essential oil ( I use Young Living ) about 2 – 5 drops.
Now using a spoon, spread it all out evenly onto the pad.
Reassemble the pad back to its original packaging and put into a ziplock bag. Place in freezer until it’s time to use them! They usually will last about an hour before you want to replace with a new one. You may want to let them sit out for a minutes before you apply ( because they will BE COLD! ) You may also want to sit on a towel or a chucks pad ( puppy pad ) to keep them from melting on everything.

I really hope this helps some of you mommas!! Congratulations on baby and enjoy those baby snuggles 🥰
