Essential Oils for Cystic Fibrosis

Essential Oils for Cystic Fibrosis

How I use essential oils to help me manage my Cystic Fibrosis.

Brands I recommend:
– Aromatics International = (My Fav and Good Price)
– Young Living =
– DoTerra =

My Topical Blend (rub on bottom of feet, or on wrists):
– Lemongrass
– Frankincense
– Cinnamon Bark

My Diffusing Blend (blend I breathe in using diffuser):
– frankincense
– Lemongrass (occasionally substitute with lemon)
– Cinnamon Bark (occasionally substitute with Tea Tree Oil)
– Eucalyptus
– Lavendar
– Peppermint
– Occasionally will add Oregano if I find I’m feeling ill

I rub 1-2 drops of topical blend on morning and night. Then I will try to use my diffusing blend for 1 hour (10 min on/10 min off), twice a day.

– Consistency is important (stick to it for 1-3 months before deciding how they work for you)
– They’re not a cure, I strictly think they just help keep my bacteria growth down so that I do not get sick or have an exacerbation.
– Peppermint is great for pain relief and as an expectorant
– Eucalyptus is great to break up mucous and soothes airways
– Lavendar is great for a sleep aid or calming anxiety
– QUALITY MATTERS (if you choose to use oils, buy good quality oils first so that you do not regret any money spending later on)
