How to Use Essential Oils for Back Pain Relief
Statistics says that the majority of adults over 30 experience back pain.
The severity of this pain varies, as well as its causes; but the problem is there, and there is a natural way to ease that pain.
Essential Oils for Back Pain
When back pain is mild or occasional, it will probably go away on its own after a while.
But if there is radiating pain down your leg, numbness or you experience difficulty urinating, then you should approach a doctor for help to avoid the worsening of the condition.
A General Recipe for Back Pain
Combine the following ingredients in a small glass container:
2 drops of wintergreen essential oil, 2 drops of peppermint essential oil, 2 drops of frankincense essential oil, and 1 tablespoon of any carrier oil of your choice.
Massage the mixture into the affected area with gentle circular motions.
To Relieve Muscular Back Pain
The following combination of oils is good for those who want to relax their tired back muscles after a garden work, playing with a child or whatever there may be.
Take 3 drops of basil essential oil, 3 drops of marjoram oil, 3 drops of frankincense oil, and 2 tablespoons of suitable carrier oil.
Mix these ingredients in a glass container, and massage into your skin where needed.
You can enhance the action of essential oils by using a heating pad for 15 minutes.
Bath to Soothe Back Pain
The following recipe is beneficial for sore back, as it relaxes tight muscles, and provides the maintenance for your joints.
Take 2 cups of Epsom salts, 3 drops of frankincense essential oil, and 3 drops of Roman chamomile essential oil.
Add the ingredients to a small bowl, and mix them well.
Then place the mixture in a warm bath and allow yourself to soak in it for half an hour.
Epsom salt is actually magnesium sulfate, which brings the feeling of calmness, and maintains the nervous system.
