Easy DIY Face Masks (for every skin type)

DIY Acne Prone Mask
2 tablespoons bentonite clay
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 drops of lavender EO

Mix bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar until well blended. Mask will be thick. Apply to face avoiding eye area and allow to dry for 10-20 minutes. Lean toward the shorter timeframe if you have sensitive skin. This mask goes dry after a few days, but when refrigerated can last up to a week if it doesn’t dries out first.

DIY Mask for Dry Skin
½ avocado
½ very ripe banana
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2-3 drops essential oil

Rub avocado face mask all over your face, avoiding your eyes. Allow mixture to sit on your face for 10-15 minutes. Pat face clean with a damp towel.

DIY Mask for Aging Skin w/Retinol
½ Cup of Chopped Spinach Leaves
1 Tbsp Pure Honey
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil (or almond oil)
1 Tsp Lemon Juice

Wash spinach leaves in cold water. Blend spinach, olive oil, lemon juice and honey together until the consistency is smooth.
Apply to your skin and let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water and splash cold water for final rinse to close the pores. Leftover mask can be stored in the fridge for 3 days but discard when it smells rancid.

DIY Mask for Oily and Combination Skin
1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1 Tablespoon of Honey
1/4 cup of plain yogurt
2 tablespoons of flour to make the mask thick/pasty.

This bright yellow spice can be staining. If you are very fair skin this may not be the best mask for you to use. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. This mask is good up to three days when refrigerated.
