APPLE ALMOND CRISP RECIPE WITH SALTED CINNAMON WHIP CREAM | With Vitality Essential Oils

This quick almond apple crisp is a fall favorite and its made extra special with homemade salted whip cream. This recipe can be made gluten free by using all almond flour. Salted whip cream is the best. So many people make it sweet, but without salt whip cream can be very 1 note. Add salt and cinnamon oil to make it over the top. In my almond apple crisp I like prefer to use Granny Smith apples, I like their firmness and sour note that I can add sugar to round out.

APPLE ALMOND CRISP RECIPE
Preheat oven to 375 degrees

APPLE FILLING
-5-6 Granny Smith Apples, Pealed and Sliced
-Juice of 1 Lemon
-1/2 cup Brown Sugar
-1/4 cup White Sugar
-tsp Ground Cinnamon
-1-2 Drop Cinnamon Bark Vitality Essential Oil
-1-2 Drop Thieves Vitality Essential Oil
-1 TB Flour
-1 tsp Kosher Salt
Peel and chop apples. Squeeze lemon over apples. Add sugar, cinnamon, and oils. Mix. Add the salt and flour and mix, let sit.

ALMOND CRUMB TOPPING
I think of this as my 1/2 cup easy crumble.
-1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
-1/2 cup Almond Flour (1 cup for gluten free, minus the flour)
-1/2 cup dried oats
-1/2 cup Brown Sugar
-1 tsp Baking Powder
-1 tsp Kosher Salt
-1/2 Log of Almond Paste
-1/2 cup Salted Butter or 1 stick
Combine all dry ingredients together. Then break up almond paste into bowl and add butter. Using a pastry cutter, forks, or food processor, cut the butter and almond paste into the dry mix. Chop into pebbles.

Spray a baking dish, you can use an 8″‘x8″ or a pie dish. Add in apple mixture and top with Almond Crumb Topping.
Place in the center of a 375 degree oven for 30-40 minutes. If browning too fast on top, loosely tent with foil. Once baked pull from oven and let cool.

SALTED CINNAMON WHIP CREAM
-1 Cup Whipping Cream
-1-2 drops Thieves Vitality Oil
-1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
-1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
-1 tsp Almond Emulsion
-1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar

Beat cold whipping cream in a bowl until stiff. Add vitality oil, cinnamon, salt, almond emulsion, beat to combine. Then sift powdered sugar into bowl and beat one last time. Keep in fridge until Apple Almond Crisp is cool and can be topped with whip cream and served.
