What’s going on guys! In today’s video I’m going to be going to give you 5 of the best muscle building tips for beginners that you need to be following.

Tip #1 – BE IN A CALORIC SURPLUS!
Everyday your body burns a specific number of calories between your BMR and your activity level. These equal your total daily energy expenditure, and as long as you eat more calories than that number then you will put on weight. Period. More than calories than you burn.

Tip #2 – EATING ENOUGH PROTEIN DAILY!
A good general idea is to have 1g of protein per every pound of bodyweight. For example, if you weigh 185 lbs then aim for 185g of protein per day.

Tip #3 – MAKE SURE EATING YOUR PROTEIN IN CONVENIENT!
Having a good protein supplement is a great way to hit your protein daily if you are on the go, at the office, or just someone who may not always have food there ready to eat.

Tip #4 – MAKE SURE YOU ARE EATING ENOUGH CARBS!
Protein is super important but carbs are often neglected, however carbs are your bodies primary fuel source so your muscles need these to lift weights at the highest intensity. If you don’t have enough carbs, you won’t be getting enough out of your workouts for the time you’re putting in. Be sure you are also getting adequate carbohydrates after your workout to help your glycogen stores recover.

Tip #5 – START COOKING WITH MORE OILS
Since fats are more calorie dense at 9 calories per gram than carbs and proteins are at 4g per calorie, I would recommend adding oils throughout the day. You can do this by cooking your meats with coconut or olive oil, or throwing some olive oil onto your vegetables, etc.
